Push to Talk Button

Many ST1100 owners do not know that this little panel exists on the left side handlebar
switch.   I found it years ago on my '91 ST1100 and connected my garage door opener to a
small switch.  This is where I have mounted the Push to Talk switch for my new CB radio.

The fingers and fingernails are my wife's - sorry to disappoint you ... even though
I live close to San Francisco I am still very conventional :-)

As you can see, the actual size of the button must be quite small. I found this at a local electronics shop. With a little searching you can probably find something similar. I actually have broken one of the tabs off the panel and I will be ordering a new one to put the switch in. Right now, I hold it in place using electrical tape. Yes, it is kind of tacky, but it works and it is easily undone. I thought about using something more permanent, but I decide I would want to undo it.
